We're moving on up! In junior high, core blocks of required courses and interdisciplinary instruction ensure students build firm foundations in English, mathematics, science and social studies. Physical education and health instruction guide students in building knowledge, attitudes and skills necessary to value and practice healthy, responsible lifestyles. Students explore technology applications, master keyboarding and build young adult reading skills for life-long learning.
Elective courses enable students to explore areas of their own interest in business, computer technology, family and consumer science, fine arts, foreign languages, communications and technology and applied sciences. Students also develop friendships and practice sportsmanship and teamwork skills through a variety of clubs and co- and extra-curricular activities, including band, basketball, chorus, cheerleading, football, orchestra, tennis, track and field, volleyball and wrestling.
