Through the support of a Learning Coach, Building Mentoring and Professional Development, Lawrence Public Schools provide all staff resources and support in relation to their professional goals.

Peer Mentoring Program

Lawrence Public Schools and the Lawrence Education Association jointly developed an induction process to provide support to new teachers.

All teachers new to Lawrence Public Schools are considered participants in the program and will be matched with a mentor. The district matches teachers new to both the profession and Lawrence Public Schools with a mentor and Learning Coach. Teachers new to the profession are considered novice teachers.
